Important info from Angelo:We need to inform you that the plans for the Recording in Warsaw have changed. Recording the new Live CD in Warsaw will still take place, but there won’t be a DVD made. Angelo has written a few words about the reasons. AK: „To me it is very important that every product, which has my name on it, is also one where I was completely involved in at every step of the process. Ever since I decided to stop after this tour I have also come to realise that some of the things I had already planned in the beginning of this year had to be changed. I just won’t have the time to work on the DVD after my tour, because I will be travelling and living a different life. I still want to record a Live CD in Warsaw, because it will be a completely new show. The days in studio for the mixing and mastering are planned in some of the off days during the tour, so that the CD will then be out a couple of weeks later. The DVD from the show on the „Sean O’Kelley“ has turned out so well, but it did take a few months of hard work and I just won’t have that kind of time next year. I hope you can understand and I am looking forward to recording my Live CD in Warsaw. A newsletter from Patricia: Dear everyone, The summer is still shining, august is here! I hope you all had a nice vacation, lots of sun and rest..... Wow, how time flies… I love to look through our living room’s window, for there is a naturally growing garden / forest. Somehow, I don’t like well kept lawns. .... Well, it is certainly more and more obvious to me, that I grew up differently to most people. Born in a catholic but very alternative hippie family, it is difficult at times to live in a normal house..... Back to reality. My first acoustic “Essential” is behind us. It has been a beautiful and very successful tour. We laughed and cried, sang and dance, and, o yes, talked a lot on stage. .... I want to thank you all for the great support and encouragement..... Because of so many positive feedbacks and much demand we have decided to prolong this tour. There are a few additional concert dates this fall:.... 18. September Bunschoten Spakenburg (NL) 15. And that’s it for this year Beyond this I have a surprise for December. A new project I am currently working on! OK, I will say this much – it is something really different. By contract I am not allowed to give you more information right now. Around the 18 th of September I will present you the new project. It is going to be great. This is a reason why I haven’t sent you a newsletter before, for only now things became concrete. I plan further concerts starting end of January next year. I love to sing for you all! An open letter from Angelo: 05.08.2009 Dear everyone, I have decided to make the next tour my last. At least for now. The Traveller show is very intimate and through me talking about my life so much, I started to reflect a lot on the past and on the recent years. This made me realise that my life used to be a very alternative one until I was 12 years old. That was when we became very successful and famous. Our life changed completely and after a while we started to lose our way. I mean living in Hotels and in a castle just wasn’t the same as on a boat in Amsterdam or travelling in busses around the world. In the last few years I have spent a lot of time establishing myself as a solo artist and have enjoyed most of the projects that I was able to do. Still lately I have felt that the way that my father chose to live and to give us when we were small, doesn’t have much in common with my current one. I mean even if I don’t have a manager telling me what to do or a major record company telling me what kind of music to play. I still feel that I am not as independent and free as my family once was. For this reason I have decided to change my life dramatically but this also means that I won’t be giving any concerts next year and won’t be releasing a new studio album. I can only tell you that my family (wife & kids) and I will be travelling a lot and will try to live a very alternative life for at least one year. I will not be active as a solo artist and also won’t be working with my brothers and sisters or with any bands in 2010. I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do in 2011. We will see. I know that this will be a shock for some of you and I am very sorry for that, but you should know that I am very thankful for every one of you who has joined me on my musical journey. From the „Piano Drums“ project to „The Traveller“. You have been a great crowd and have given me so much strength and inspiration. Thank you. If you know me and my past, then I think and hope that you will understand why I need to do this. My children are not getting any younger and if I don’t at least try to give them a life similiar to the one I was able to live, then I’m afraid that I will regret it. If you listen to the lyrics of „Out There“ you will realise that I have been thinking about this for a while. I will try to give you a update every once in a while, but you should know that starting next year their won’t be much news about me on the homepage. So for now, this up coming tour will be my last one and I’m sure I will enjoy each concert like if it were my last. Thank you so much for your understanding and all your support. I won’t forget it.
